Chilli Paneer
Chilli paneer Dry

Serving– 4

Ingredients :

Paneer preparation:

Cottage Cheese or Paneer –  2 Cup Cubed

Corn Flour- 3 tbsp

Maida- 3 tbsp

Black pepper- 1/2 tsp

Salt – as per taste

Oil – for frying

For Gravy:

Oil- 2 tbsp

Green chilies- 2 chopped

Garlic- 1 tbsp finely chopped

Ginger- 1/2 tbsp

Onion- 1 large cubed

Capsicum- 1 Large cubed

Broccoli – 5-6 Florets (optional)

Red chili sauce- 1/2 tbsp

tomato sauce- 1/2 tbsp

Soya sauce- 2 tsp

Vinegar- 1 tsp

Black pepper- 1/4 tsp

Salt – as per taste

Corn Flour- 1/2 tsp

Water – as needed

Green Onion greens – 2 tbsp

How to make Chilli Paneer:

  • Mix cornflour and maida in a bowl, add black pepper powder and salt.
  • Add some water to make a slightly thin and smooth batter.
  • Add paneer cubes in the batter and mix gently.
  • Heat oil in a pan and drop the batter coated paneer cubes one by one in hot oil, shallow fry the paneer cubes on low flame until they turn slightly golden in color.
  • Drain the paneer cubes on kitchen paper and keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add 2 tbsp of oil.
  • Add green chili, ginger and garlic saute for a min on high flame.
  • Add onion, capsicum and broccoli and again saute for 4-5 mins on medium flame.
  • Add black pepper and mix well.
  • Add Tomato sauce, Red chili sauce, soya sauce and vinegar, add 2 tbsp of water and stir well.
  • Take 1/2 tsp of cornflour and 3 tbsp of water and make a smooth mixture.
  • Add this cornflour mixture to the pan and cook until gravy slightly thickens.
  • Add salt and fried paneer cubes, mix well. Cook for 1 or 2 mins on low flame.
  • Switch off the flame and garnish with spring onion greens, serve hot.
